Songping Township
Songping Township, subordinate to Chengxian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Chengxian county. It is located in the north foot of Longfeng Mountain and the middle reaches of Donghe river. It borders Baishuijiang town of Lueyang County in Shaanxi Province in the southeast and Dahe township of Hui County in the northeast. It is 55 kilometers away from Chengxian County, with a total area of 174.33 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, Songping Township belonged to chengnanli; in December 1983, Songping commune was changed to Songping township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Song Ping Township was 5897. As of June 2020, Songping township has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in gelouba village.
The main food crops in Songping township are wheat, corn and wheat; the main economic crops are sunflower and vegetables. At the end of 2011, there was a rural credit cooperatives financial institution in Songping Township, with a balance of 14.23 million yuan.
History of construction
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the south of the city.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Nanli.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belongs to Yiyang township.
In August 1953, it belongs to the third district.
In August 1955, it belongs to DianChuan district.
In December 1958, Nankang commune was established.
In December 1961, Nankang commune was changed into Songping commune.
In December 1983, Songping commune was changed into Songping township.

As of June 2020, Songping township has 16 administrative villages: Shimengou village, shijiaping village, gelouba village, Yangshan village, lijialiang village, shuangqigou village, songjiashan village, Xujiaping village, maoerchuan village, Guihua Village, fangjiahe village, Kangjiawan village, heiloufang village, Tianliu village, shenjiahe village and Hejiaping village. The Township People's government is stationed in gelouba village.
