Liaohe town
Liaohe town is located in the southwest of Nanyang City, Henan Province. It is bounded by Baihe in the East, Luying in the south, pengying Township in Zhenping county in the West and Wangcun Township in the north. It covers an area of 76.64 square kilometers. In history, the traditional handicraft industry in the town area is relatively developed. The brush of Xindian, willow weaving products of songmaying, pottery of Qingliang temple, reed weaving of Xiliang village, and manuscript recommendation of shangfanying have enjoyed a long reputation.

It is the alluvial plain of Baihe River and Liaohe River. The terrain is high in the East and low in the West. Xindiangang extends from north to south in the East, with an altitude of 145 meters and 110 meters in the West. The area of cultivated land is 4749 hectares, with yellow brown soil accounting for 60%, fluvo aquic soil and Shajiang black soil accounting for 20% respectively. The rivers under the jurisdiction are Baihe River, with a length of 8 km; Liaohe River, with a length of 10 km; Mugu River, with a length of 12 km. Nan Deng highway and Waizi highway from Nanyang to Xinye County pass through the jurisdiction. There are more than 300 high and low-voltage transmission lines in the town, and every village is electrified with more than 95% of the household lighting power.
Economics
Now Liaohe is the central market town under its jurisdiction. Since the 1980s, the market trade has flourished, and more than 20000 people can be listed in Fengji. Commerce and service industries have sprung up along both sides of nandeng highway. New progress has also been made in the development and construction of four traditional market towns, Xindian, yuliuying, Wuji and Xinji.
Cultural relics include the northern Han tomb in zhangmaozhuang village, the Neolithic cultural site in Xinji, and the Liaohe site of Liaoxi village committee.
school
Nanyang No.8 Middle School, formerly known as Nanyang No.2 Middle School, was founded in the spring of 1949. It was established in 1958 and was designated as the key high school of the county in 1979. It was renamed as "Nanyang No.8 Middle School" after it was set up as a city in 1994. It is one of the first class a high schools in Nanyang city and was promoted to Nanyang Model High School in October 2004. The school has two campuses, 71 teaching classes and more than 5500 students. It is one of the large-scale class a high schools in Nanyang city. Sci-Tech Park
Nanyang national agricultural science and Technology Park was established in 1998 on the basis of national agricultural comprehensive development "ten thousand mu Agricultural Modernization Demonstration Park". In 2001, the park was promoted to provincial agricultural science and technology park. In December 2010, the national agricultural science and Technology Park was established with the approval of the Ministry of science and technology.
The park is located in Liaohe Town, Wolong District, 6 kilometers away from the urban area, close to Ningxi railway, Shanghai Shaanxi Expressway, Henan 231 line, passing through the area, with convenient transportation. Over the past few years, the park has established a good cooperative relationship with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Chinese Academy of forestry and other scientific research institutes, and has become the only joint experimental demonstration base of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Chinese Academy of forestry in China.
