Maqu town
Maqu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Zhenyuan County, adjacent to Miaoqu town in the East, Wugou Township in the south, Mengyuan Township in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the West and Sancha town in the north, with a total administrative area of 157.34 square kilometers.
In 1949, it was designated as Maqu district; in December 1983, it was renamed Maqu township. In 2019, Maqu township will be built from township. By the end of 2018, the population of Ma Qu town registered residence was 14734. In June 2020, Maqu town governs 11 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Maqu town was 1.14 million yuan, an increase of 15% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises and 13 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Maqu town.
History of construction
In March 1940, the Communist Party of China established the Anti Japanese democratic government of Zhenyuan County in Shaan Gan Ning border region.
In 1949, it was called Maqu district.
In March 1951, it was merged into Sancha district and kaibian district.
In January 1953, Maqu district was restored.
In April 1956, it was changed to base point township.
In March 1958, it was renamed Maqu township.
In June 1961, it was changed to Maqu commune.
In December 1983, it was changed to Maqu township.
In 2019, Maqu township will be built from township.
