Yuanan town
Yuanan town is located in the north of Jingning County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province. It borders Gongyi Town, Xiji County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the northeast, lingzhi Township and Gaojie town in the south, Sanhe Township in the west, and Pingfeng Town, Xiji County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the northwest. It is 35 kilometers away from Jingning County. The total area of the administrative area is 10.7 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Chengguan town was 15188.
Yuan'an town is named after Yuantou and Zhang'an villages. In June 1954, Yuanan District of Longde County and its five townships were assigned to Jingning County, and the 13th district was established. In June 1955, it was renamed Cheli District, and the district government moved from yuantoupu to Zhang'an. In September 1958, Yuan'an commune was established and moved to qijiagang. In November 1983, it was changed to original Anxiang. In 2018, Yuan'an township was replaced by Yuan'an town. As of June 2020, Yuanan town has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages.

History of construction
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Shaoshan Township, Longde County.
In May 1953, Shanmin township was divided from nine districts, and Sibao township was divided into Hedong and Hexi townships, with the 13th district (danqiao and Yuan'an); in December of the same year, three townships under the jurisdiction of the 13th district were divided into Xiji County.
In June 1954, Yuanan District of Longde County and its five townships were assigned to Jingning County, and the 13th district was established.
In June 1955, it was renamed Cheli District, and the district government moved from yuantoupu to Zhang'an.
In September 1958, Yuan'an commune was established and moved to qijiagang.
In November 1983, it was changed to original Anxiang.
In 2018, Yuan'an township was replaced by Yuan'an town.
