Yangya market town, belonging to Huining County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Huining County, bordering Jingning County in the southeast, dangjiaxian Township in the southwest, zhaijiasuo Township in the West and Taipingdian town in the north, with a total administrative area of 162.8 square kilometers.

Before 1949, it belonged to Longjiang township; in 1983, it was changed to yangyaji township. In 2016, yangyaji township was withdrawn from the township and built into a town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yang Ya town was 21430. In June 2020, yangya market town governs 1 community and 12 administrative villages.

History of construction

Before 1949, it belonged to Longjiang township.

After 1949, it belonged to three districts (zhaijiasuo).

After 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Dangxian commune.

In 1961, Yangji commune was established.

In 1981, in the census of place names, the word "Ge" was changed to "Ya".

In 1983, it was changed to yangyaji township.

In 2016, yangyaji township was withdrawn from the township and built into a town.
