Pingpu town

Pingbao Town, belonging to Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Jingyuan County, bordering Yingfang village of Wulan town in the East, Ruolin Township and yuanzicha township of Yuzhong County in the south, Yellow River Suspension Bridge in the west, Silong town of Baiyin District, and Beiwan town across the River in the north, with a total administrative area of 42 square kilometers.

In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was subordinate to jingluwei, jingyuanwei and Jingyuan County; in 1986, pingbao township was set up from Beiwan town. In August 2016, pingbao township was built from township. By the end of 2018, the population of Ping Bao town registered residence was 17927. In June 2020, pingbao town has four administrative villages.

At the end of 2011, the total financial revenue of pingbao town was 5.475 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4810 yuan. In 2018, pingbao town has 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to jingluwei, jingyuanwei and Jingyuan County.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of pingbao Township Office.

After 1949, it was returned to the Sixth District Office of Jingyuan County.

In 1958, Baiyin City set up the retreat Township, which successively belonged to Jinshan commune of Baiyin City and Beiwan commune of Jingyuan County.

In 1986, pingbao township was set up in Beiwan town.

In August 2016, pingbao township was built from township.
