Zhang Xianzhen
Zhangxian town belongs to Dingbian County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the southernmost mountain area of Dingbian County, close to Wuqi County of Yan'an City in the southeast, adjacent to Huachi County of Gansu Province in the south, laochikou of Gansu Province in the West and Fanxue town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 32.4 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 22.8 km, with a total area of 511 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Zhangxian town has eight administrative villages. By the end of 2018, Zhang had 12214 registered residence. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Zhangxian town was 60 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 40 million yuan.
Historical evolution
Because there are mountains on the East and west sides of the area, and deep ditches on the north and south sides, it is called "Yaoxian". The homonym of "Xian" and "Xian" means "Yaoxian". The residents of the area have more surnames of Zhang, so it is named Zhang Yaoxian.
The Qing Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of sanshanbao and sanshantang.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Wuquan township was established.
In 1935, it once belonged to Zhangxian township of Soviet.
In 1936, after the liberation of Dingbian, Zhang Yao was divided into seven districts.
In 1949, Zhang Yaoxian was still the seventh district.
In 1958, Zhang Yixian commune was established.
In 1984, it was changed to township.
In 2001, luopangyuan township was merged into Zhangxian township.
In 2011, it merged with Baima Yaoxian township to become zhangyaoxian town.
