Wulongdong town belongs to Lueyang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast of Lueyang County, adjacent to Lianghekou town in the East, Xingzhou street in the south, Baishuijiang town in the West and Huixian County in Gansu Province in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 24.3 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 19.8 km, with a total area of 258 square kilometers.

Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Baishui township.

In December 1949, Zhongchuan township was set up, belonging to Baishuijiang district.

In 1956, the district government had four townships: Zhongchuan, banzhuyuan, jinchiyuan and jiugushu.

In 1958, Zhongchuan township was changed into a production management area.

In 1961, Zhongchuan commune was established.

In 1984, it was changed into Zhongchuan Township, under the jurisdiction of Baishuijiang district.

In April 1996, jiugushu, Zhongchuan and jinchiyuan were merged into jiuzhongjin Township, which was directly under the county.

In July 2011, Jinxiang town of jiuzhong was changed into wulongdong town.
