Shangbahe town

Shangbahe town is the east gate of Tuanfeng county. It is located at the junction of Huangshang highway and LiuJie highway on the Bank of Bahe. The whole town covers an area of 61.5 square kilometers (2017), the town area is 2.5 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area is 30574 mu. The town is named because it is located in the upstream of Bahe town (Xishui County) at the mouth of Bahe River. There is an important traffic road in the town named biaoyungang. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a man surnamed Wang opened a slaughterhouse here. He erected a high pole on the high mountain. When there was meat for sale, he raised a cloth label. The elevation went into the cloud, so it was named biaoyungang. Before liberation, it belonged to the third district (zhudandian). It was the third district (in shangbahe) in 1949, renamed shangbahe District in 1950, changed to the Fourth District in 1951, and renamed shangbahe District in 1952. In November 1955, the township was merged into Huilongshan district and Huangzhou District, and shangbahe district was soon restored. When the district was changed to the Guidance Group in February 1956, it belonged to the chengdegang guidance group. Shuguang commune was established in 1958 and changed to shangbahe commune in 1959. It was changed to shangbahe District in 1961. Shangbahe town is across the river from ZhuWa town of Xishui County in the East, connected with macaomiao town and zongluzui town in the west, Chencelou town of Huangzhou District in the south, dandian town in the north, and the junction of Huangshang highway and LiuJie highway. Shangba river is the birthplace of Xiong Shili, a famous philosopher. Shangbahe town is 34 km away from Huanggang City in the south, 12.2 km away from Huangzhou railway station, 25 km away from Huanggang east station and Huanggang station of urban rail, 22 km away from Xishui County, 22 km away from zongluzui town and dandian town in the north, and 20 km away from Tuanfeng County in the West.
