Jiaoli Township belongs to Yichuan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the middle of Yichuan County. Historical evolution

Ming Dynasty was named after the intersection of Shiwang River and Yuanjia river.

It was called jiayangli from Kangxi to the end of Qing Dynasty.

In 1929, it was under the jurisdiction of the first district.

In 1940, it was changed to Danyang township.

In October 1949, it was changed to Danyang district.

In August 1950, it was renamed the second district.

In June 1955, it was renamed Jiaoli district.

In July 1957, Jiaoli township was established.

In September 1958, Jiaoli commune was established.

In June 1983, the township was restored.
