Dongguan South Street

Dongguan South Street, belonging to Beilin District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the east of Beilin District, outside Changle gate of Xi'an city wall. It is adjacent to hansenzhai street in the new urban area in the East, Xianning West Road and Taiyi road in the south, moat and baishulin street in the West, Dongguan Main Street, Shiyuan Road, Huzhu road and changlefang street in the north. The total area is 2.11 square kilometers.

Dongguan South Street is named for its South North Street. The scenic spots include Xingqing Park and Dongshi site of the Tang Dynasty.

History of construction

In July 1955, Dongguan South Street was set up.

In December 1958, wudaoshi street was merged.

In March 1959, it was divided into Dongguan South Street and wudaoshi street.

In May 1960, the commune was changed to Baqiao district.

In July 1962, it was restored to Beilin District.

In July 1963, it was renamed Dongguan South Street commune.

In November 1966, it changed its name and entered the commune.

In April 1972, it was renamed Dongguan South Street commune.

In March 1979, Dongguan South Street was rebuilt.
