Rebang Township

Ritu County in Ali Prefecture of Tibet governs the township and three administrative villages, longmenka village, ZAPU village and dingze village. Located in the south of Nitu County, 90 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Geji County in the East and south. The average altitude is 4350 meters. The total land area of the township is 15093.19 square kilometers, accounting for 22.36% of the total land area of the county. Among them, the cultivated land area is 1269.55 mu, and the total grassland area is 1856186.26 mu. It is a semi farming and semi pastoral township.

In February 1961, a hot band was set up. In 1996, it has a population of about 17000 and governs three townships, among which Longmen Township governs two administrative villages, ZAPU Township governs three administrative villages, and dingze Township governs one administrative village. Rivers in the territory are gabren River, tongkalong River, Jihe River and gayuding River; lakes are rebangcuo, lubucuo, kunzhongcuo, aongcuo (along Lake) and Neka lake. the landform type belongs to plateau lake basin area. The high mountains of Karakoram and the branches of Gangdese mountain cross the whole area. Due to the dry climate and weak water flow, the plateau surface is well preserved. The general terrain is high in the north and South and low in the middle. Along the Bangongcuo Nujiang fault zone, a huge catchment depression with the lowest plateau terrain is formed. Between the surrounding mountains, along the fault zone, it is a wide valley or beaded lake basin depression.

Rebang township is one of the White Cashmere Goat bases in Northwest Tibet. The Kashmir white cashmere is a well-known product in the international market.
