Youzai town is located at the foot of Liuling mountain and the Bank of Sanggan River. It borders Yangyuan County in Hebei Province in the East, Datong County in the west, Hunyuan and Guangling across the mountain in the south. It is only 12 kilometers away from Daqin Railway and Datang highway. The town governs 12 administrative villages with a permanent population of 7865 (2017). It covers an area of 141.01 square kilometers, with 43133 mu of cultivated land, including 18000 mu of water land. geographical position

Youzai town is located in the southernmost part of Yanggao County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, with Sanggan River on its back and Liuleng mountain on its opposite. It is 60 kilometers away from Yanggao County, covering an area of 145 square kilometers. The geology is igneous rock. Some of the alluvial fans at the foot of the mountain are pumice layer after volcanic eruption, and some are covered with gravel layer as thick as 150 meters. Since 1952, dongcetian village built the first high-rise irrigation station in the county, it has paid attention to the construction of water conservancy projects, built 19 large and small irrigation stations, built more than 40 kilometers of impervious canals, irrigated land reached 16374 mu in 1978, accounting for 39% of the cultivated land, and the grain yield per mu exceeded 100 kg. In 1986, it expanded to 17442 mu, and 40% of the land became irrigated land. In this year, the county's output was greatly reduced due to drought. Instead, it increased by 1 million kg, reaching 173 kg per mu, the highest level in history. In 1990, for six consecutive years, the total output reached 9.517 million kg, 279 kg per mu. The town has 154000 mu of mountainous area, accounting for 68.8% of the total area, and 25000 mu of hilly area, accounting for 11%. There are 98000 mu of forest land and 47000 mu of grassland. There are tall natural birch trees and lush mountain grass on the north slope of Liuleng mountain, covering more than 75%, which is an excellent natural pasture. Several villages in the mountainous area raise one or two large livestock and five or six sheep. In Xiaobeigou, there are 11 sheep per household and the number of pigs per household is the highest in the county. Under the mountain, apricot, plum, autumn fruit, grape and other economic forests are traditionally planted, and apple and pear trees are introduced. LIULENGSHAN is rich in limestone, granite, iron ore, marble, crystal stone, black shale, etc. The conditions for the development of township enterprises are superior. In 1985, a 13.5km mountain road was cut on the hillside to mine iron ore. At present, there are more than 200 township enterprises such as cement factory, lime factory, brick factory and fur factory.
