Xinji Township
Xinji township is under the jurisdiction of Bangor county. It is located in the southwest of the county, adjacent to Deqing town in the East, Shenzha County in the West and Nanmulin County in the south. The permanent population is 4093 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages. The township government, the Township People's Congress and the township party committee are stationed in Lubu village.
Historical evolution
The township was established in 1960 and the commune was changed in 1970. In 1987, Xinji Township and Tuanjie Township were merged into Xinji Township, and gongmang Township and Hongqi Township were merged into gongmang township. In 1996, Xinji Township had a population of about 1500 people, including 7 administrative villages of digen, kouqiu, Lebao, Cangji, nuerdi, Legan and Ganju; the township government was stationed in Baidi (including 7 villages of Guqiu, nuobao, canghuan, nuergang, Najia, Lekang and Gangju; gongmang Township had a population of about 13000, including 8 villages of bingqiong, Zhagu, Nagu, nagulai, qiuqucai, Kangmu, guga and Shirong The township government is stationed in longqiong, an administrative village. In 2002, gongmang township was abolished and merged into Xinji township. In 2006, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, including kouqiu, Lubu, cangguo, Nuodi, Lugan, qusen, Zana, guga, qiangdu and qiangmei.
