Langjie School Town
Gongga County of Shannan City governs the town. It is located in the east of the county, adjacent to Zang County in the East, Jixiong town in the west, and Changguo Township across the Yarlung Zangbo River in the north. Langjiexue town is a famous "apron town" and one of the "eight ancient towns". Langjiexue means "eloquence" in Tibetan. Established in 1959, it has jurisdiction over three townships. Langjiexue township was established in 1987 and renamed Langjiexue Township in 1999. It covers an area of about 210 square kilometers. It is one of the main grain producing areas in Gongga County, with an area of 1417 mu of cultivated land and cultivated highland barley, wheat, potatoes and rape. The grassland covers an area of 9671.5 hectares, mainly raising yaks, cattle, goats and sheep. The town has 133.4 hectares of Wetland Reserve, inhabiting black necked Crane, yellow duck, white duck, spotted goose and other wild animals, as well as rich fish resources. There are 120 households in transportation, grain and oil processing, machinery repair and other service industries in the town, and jiedexiu apron factory is built in the center of the town.
