Gaoyang town

Gaoyang town is located in the northwest of Wangcang County, 106 degrees 15 minutes east longitude and 32 degrees 18 minutes north latitude, 11 kilometers away from the county seat, covering an area of 98.2 square kilometers. It borders Huangyang town in the East, Zhengyuan Township in the northeast, Donghe town in the south, Maying Township in the northwest, Baishui town and Jiachuan town in the West. The strata belong to Ordovician, Silurian and Triassic, which are located at the junction of North China plate and Yangtze plate, and belong to the main part of Hannan platform arch in Longmen Daba platform depression. The strata in the area are well developed and belong to the typical karst landform. The climate of the town belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate. It is cold in the East, warm and dry in spring, hot in summer, cool in autumn, rainy, four distinct seasons, sufficient sunshine and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 14-16 ℃, the maximum temperature is 35.1 ℃, the minimum temperature is 5.3 ℃, the frost free period is about 250 days, and the annual rainfall is about 1064 mm.

In September 2018, Gaoyang town was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.

Historical evolution

It is said that in ancient times, tile pots were burned here, so it was named guanziba. In Qing Dynasty, it was named guanzibao. In 1910, it belonged to Baishui Township Association. After the establishment of Wangcang in 1942, it belonged to the second fort of Baishui township. After the land reform in 1952, it was divided into towns and townships, and the people's Government of Guanzi township was established, which belonged to the second ruling city of Wangcang. In 1956, Guanzi county was abolished, and it belonged to the county directly. In 1958, it was incorporated into Dongfeng people's commune. In 1961, Guanzi commune was established, belonging to Ludu district (Shuanghui District). In 1984, Guanzi commune was changed into Guanzi township. In 1992, Gaoyang town was established by merging Guanzi, Ludu and Zhixi townships in Shuanghui District, where the government was stationed at guanziba. Gaoyang town governs 13 villages and 96 cooperatives in Mengzi, Xiangyang, Huya, cuihe, Zhixi, Shuangwu, Gubai, Shuimo, Guanshan, Ludu, Zaoshu, Songjiang and Wenquan.

Highway construction: Gaoyang town is located in Wangcang to Yingcui, Guohua, Ningqiang of Shaanxi Province. There are 5 kilometers of asphalt County Road across the town. All villages in the town are connected with highways, with a mileage of nearly 90 km. Each village road is connected with the county road, forming a crisscross road transportation network extending in all directions. Rural electricity: all the farmers in the town use lighting electricity. The first phase of rural power network reconstruction project was completed, with a total investment of 320000 yuan. 8.7 km of high-voltage lines and 3.5 km of low-voltage lines were erected, and 12 transformers were installed. We are continuing to reform and ensure the rural production and living electricity. Agricultural foundation: damaopo soil improvement project is well known at home and abroad. Over the years, with the joint efforts of the whole town and the whole county, soil improvement projects have been carried out in five villages in Xiangyang, namely, jingjingba, guanziba, Ludu damaopo, Zhixi River Basin and Gubai village. Among them, 2537.2 mu of terraces and 600 mu of farmland were built. 243 drought prevention pools, 2 Shanping ponds, 2 canals and weirs, and 1 Xiangyang pumping station were built in the town. Market town construction: the market town is 11 kilometers away from the county, and the East River flows into the county from the west to the north. Wangying highway crosses the market town along the East River. The town has a government, school, medical, family planning, police, posts and telecommunications, food, supply and marketing and business service system. The government office complex is under construction. At the end of 2002, there were 700 people living in the market town, with an area of 7.28 hectares and 367.17 square meters of construction land per capita.

By the end of 2002, the town's GDP was 28.23 million yuan, the total output value of enterprises was 8.2 million yuan, the financial revenue was 713000 yuan, the per capita net income was 1514 yuan, and the per capita grain share was nearly 400 kg.
