Jiagong Township

Bianba County, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs the township and four village committees, namely, Jiagong village, Yebu village, Guoqing village and Jiabu village.

It is located in the southeast of Tibet, in the west of Bianba County of Changdu City, adjacent to Jinling Township in the East and Zhongyu township of Jiali County in the south, 78 kilometers away from the county seat.

It belongs to the plateau temperate semi humid climate type.

The township covers an area of 1055 square kilometers.

In 2017, there were 978 people in the township.

It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, planting highland barley, wheat and rape, and Grazing Yak, cattle, goats and sheep.

Historical evolution

Jiagong township was established in 1960, the commune was changed in 1970, and the township was restored in 1984.
