Shengguan town

Shengguan town is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Gaoping District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, China. It is located in the east of Gaoping District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Yuechi and Peng'an counties. Luoxi river passes through the town. Covering an area of 25.8 square kilometers, the town governs a community, 12 village committees and 96 villager groups, with a total population of 14330 (2017).

On October 29, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Nanchong to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns (streets) in 7 counties (cities, districts) including Gaoping District

Yan's hometown was abolished, and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Shengguan town. The people's Government of Shengguan town was stationed at 33 Shengmo street.

Historical evolution

Shengguan township was set up in 1940.

Shengguan Township People's government was established in 1950.

Shengguan people's commune was established in 1958.

It was renamed Shuangsheng people's commune in 1966.

The original name was restored in 1971.

It was changed to Shengguan Township in 1984.

In September 1992, Yanjia and Banzhu were merged into Shengguan town.

In August 1994, when the township system was improved, Yanjia and Banzhu were set up separately.

In October 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved to cancel Yan's hometown and put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Shengguan Town, which is located at 33 Shengmo street.

The roads in the town extend in all directions and are very convenient. Provincial Highway S203 line Yi (long) North (BEI) road runs through the whole territory. In order to develop Jinchengshan, the first peak of Nanchong, a new entrance and exit will be opened in Shengguan town of Nanguang section of G42 Shanghai Chengdu expressway, located in baofanggou village. After the completion of the entrance and exit, the traffic environment of Shengguan will be more convenient and the development of Shengguan will be accelerated.

Shengguan town is 41 kilometers away from Nanchong City and 35 kilometers away from Yuechi County of Guang'an City. Rural roads crisscross the town. All villages are connected with roads. 86 villagers' groups have built rural roads, and the roads are smooth in rain and sunshine. The communication in the town is perfect, and the optical fiber project is basically completed, which enriches the cultural life of the farmers.

The whole town belongs to the landform of wide valley with hills in the middle, high in the East and low in the West. There are many hills and beams in the southeast and crisscross hills and beams in the northwest. The highest point in Jincheng Mountain is 824.4 meters above sea level. The lowest snake Fish Beach is 297 meters above sea level. The forest coverage rate is 60%.

The town is rich in natural resources, mild climate, fertile soil, bamboo and wood resources. The development of waterfowl breeding, deep processing of bamboo and wood, and the development of traditional Chinese medicine have very broad prospects.

The whole town planted a lot of bamboos to improve the traffic and take the road of building a well-off society in an all-round way. The 4.5km road from Changzhen to the dam of moertan reservoir. After the transformation into grade road, the traffic capacity is greatly enhanced, and the two scenic spots of Jincheng Mountain and moertan are connected together to expand the space for the development of tourism in the town. There are only hotels in the two scenic spots, and there are no facilities for mass consumption. It must be a good business to engage in "farmhouse entertainment". To this end, the town mobilized farmers to plant nearly 5000 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens on both sides of the road. In five years, it will become a green bamboo sea.

At the same time, the town decided to use the method of "making money from land, rolling development" to build two more streets in shengguanchang Town, mainly engaged in catering and entertainment industry with mountain characteristics. In the future, farmers can not only cut down bamboo to sell money, but also earn tourists' money, and their income will be doubled on the existing basis. Because of this, farmers are highly motivated to plant bamboo and build roads. It takes only 10 days for moso bamboo to grow from nest to planting.
