Jinling Township

Bianba County of Changdu city in Tibet governs the township and seven village committees, including Kashu village, yugonggu village, zhuoge village, langjiegong village, Yuba village, Jieyu village and Tongdong village.

It is located in the west of Bianba County, Changdu City, adjacent to caoka town and Bianba town in the East and Jiagong Township in the west, about 80 km away from the county seat.

The township covers an area of 1851.77 square kilometers.

There are forests, grasslands, ice lakes, Millennial glaciers, snow peaks, alpine pastures and seabuckthorn forests.

In August 2019, there are 837 households and 4495 people in the township.

It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, planting highland barley, wheat, rape, and Grazing Yak, cattle, goats, etc.

Jinling is an important transportation hub on the ancient tea horse road.

Historical evolution

Jinling township was established in 1960, the commune was changed in 1970, and the township was restored in 1984.

Infrastructure construction

In October 2000, the simple highway from Bianba county to Jinling township was opened, but it was blocked by heavy snow for half a year.

In May 2016, Jinling township was constructing a small-scale irrigation and water conservancy project, which is a sub project of the 2015 key county construction project of small-scale irrigation and water conservancy in Bianba county.

In October 2018, the construction bidding notice was issued through the reconstruction project of national highway 349 from Bianba to Jiali in Jinling township. The main line adopts the standard of class III Highway, the design speed is 30km / h, and the subgrade width is controlled by 7.5m.

By 2019, there will be a simple highway from Jinling township to Bianba county. From November to May of the next year, the highway is in a state of interruption and inconvenient transportation; xiagonglashan tunnel is under construction, with a total length of 4.392 km.

In 2020, the highway project of langjiegong village, Jinling township will be implemented.
