Futian Township

Futian township is located in the southwest of Wuning County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in Mufu mountain area in the north of Jiangxi Province, bordering Hubei Province, 12 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Songxi town in the northeast, Zhelin reservoir in the south, Xinning town and Shidu Township across the river, Lixi town in the West and Hubei Province and Dadong Township in the north. The township covers an area of 203 square kilometers and has seven administrative villages, including Futian village, Chaqi village, Yangang village, Louhu village, Waihu village, Taipingshan village and yangliao village, with a total population of 13000.

Futian township is located in the west of Wuning County, 15 kilometers away from the county. The geographical coordinates of Futian street, where the township government is located, are 29 ° 15 'n and 114 ° 50' E. The total land area is 203.2 square kilometers, including 16854.6 hectares of forest land and 963.07 hectares of cultivated land. There are three natural water systems in the territory: Taipingshan water system and Longxu water system, which flow from north to south to huangshigang and into the West Sea; yangliao water system, which flows from west to east to Lushan West Sea through yangliao, Sanxian and Chaqi. Longfeng reservoir was built in 1975, with a water storage capacity of 9.937 million cubic meters, irrigating 266.7 hectares of farmland to ensure the income from drought and flood.

There are five mountains with more than 1000 meters in the territory, of which the highest peak is 1344.1 meters. There are not only high mountains and dense forests, waterfalls and flowing springs, but also natural landscapes like Heshan, Guishan and Shiren cave.

The territory is rich in brown skin, tung oil, tea oil, mushrooms, fungus, bamboo shoots. There are 333.3 hectares of Phyllostachys pubescens forest. The area of aquaculture in the reservoir area along the lake is 400 hectares, with an annual water output of more than 200 tons. There are citrus, pear, peach, plum, Bayberry and other fruit varieties in the township, with a planting area of 133.3 hectares and an annual fruit industry income of nearly one million yuan.

Historical evolution

There is no detailed record of the administrative divisions under the jurisdiction of the past dynasties before the Qing Dynasty in the old county annals, which is difficult to verify. From another paragraph, it is described that the administrative divisions involved are "Wuning belongs to a giant city, with 20 townships". After the Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, to the fourth year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1824 AD), Wuning County governed nine townships and 54 capitals. Since 1824, it is still the 54 capitals of nine townships. Until the founding of the Republic of China in 1912, BEIXIANG was renamed Dengying Township, Shiyang, Jianfu, Yangang, Futian, ganlou, Hutan, Waihu, yangliao and other places were under the jurisdiction of Dengying Township, and the rest were under the jurisdiction of Nianfeng Township and Xianan township. In 1930 (29 years of the Republic of China), the township was changed into a district. In 933 (24 years of the Republic of China), the county was divided into five districts with 290 insurances of 1688 A. in 1935, the county was divided into 51 Township insurances, and the joint insurances were set at the district level. On March 29, 1939, the Japanese army occupied the county seat, and the county government moved to shimenlou. The joint security work was chaotic and paralyzed. In August 1945, the Japanese army surrendered and won the Anti Japanese war. The administrative divisions of the whole county were the same as before, and the districts (joint security) were still set up as before. In 1948, the county was divided into 22 townships and 1 town, with 198 under its jurisdiction and 1878 under its jurisdiction. Most of the area under the jurisdiction of Futian township was in the township, and a small part was in Lixi town and Shidu township. At that time, six guarantees and 56 A were set up, and the above administrative divisions remained unchanged until the liberation in May 1949.

Futian Township belongs to the transition zone from sub potential zone to North sub potential zone, with mild climate, four distinct seasons, average temperature of 16-17 ℃, annual rainfall of 1300-1600 mm, annual frost free period of 239-266 days, and annual average humidity of 75-80%.

Futian has beautiful scenery. Among them, five government villages are located on the Bank of Wandao Lake in Jiangxi Province, which is as green as a lotus island, and the Taiping mountains in the northwest. They are famous both at home and abroad for their unique peaks and rocks. The Yousheng palace of Taiping mountain Taoist center, which has a history of more than 1000 years, is located in Futian township. There are also Jiufeng Temple (Baima Temple) and Guanyin Pavilion, which are full of magical legends.
