Suoduoxi township is located in the southeast of Mangkang County, 113 kilometers away from the county, by the Jinsha River.

It faces Suwalong township of Batang County across the river in the East, Xuzhong Township in the South and mangling Township in the north. It has jurisdiction over jiaobixi village, anmaixi village, geliangxi village and dahailong village, 24 villager groups, with a total of 6011 people (2017), a cultivated area of 4417.8 mu (including 2207.31 mu of double season land), and a stock of 27751 livestock. The area is 560.34 square kilometers, and the township government is located in anmaixi village. It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral township. Its main specialties are: Cordyceps, Fritillaria, Tricholoma matsutake, walnut, apple, Auricularia auricula, fruit of life, pepper, Kangba Crisp Plum, etc.
