Longzhong Township

Longzhong township is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Gangba County, Xigaze City, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. Longzhong township was established in 1960. In 1963, it was divided into two townships, Longzhong Township and tajie township. In 1971, it was changed into commune respectively. In 1984, it was changed into Township respectively. When the district was withdrawn and the township was merged in November 1987, tajie Township and Longzhong Township were merged into Longzhong township. Township government in longzhongqiang village, located in the middle of the county, 20 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 1207.68 square kilometers and has a population of 2300 (2017).

It governs eight village committees, namely north, South, Sikang, guocuo, tajie, ouzi, danga and Qana. in the semi farming and semi pastoral rural areas dominated by agriculture, highland barley and rape are planted and sheep, goats and yaks are raised. total population 2300 (2017).
