Beiji Township

Beiqi Township, Taigu District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, is located 5 kilometers southwest of the city. It is adjacent to Houcheng Town, Taigu District in the East, yukou Township, Qixian County in the south, Dongguan town, Qixian County in the West and Shuixiu Township, Taigu District in the north.

administrative division

Beiji Township, with a total administrative area of 65.2 square kilometers, originally governs 17 administrative villages and 4 natural villages (e'erquan, Shenling, houchan and jianfangyan). In 2013, beifujing and xifujing were put under the jurisdiction of Xingxing Town, Taigu District, Jinzhong City. In 2018, Lijiazhuang and hujiazhuang were merged into Baicheng village by village merging and Jiangan, and now 13 administrative villages (Caozhuang, Beiji, Baicheng, Nanji, Wujiazhuang, Beizhang, Nanzhang, xixianyang, zhongxianyang, nanxianyang, xishandi, Jingshen, Santai) are under the jurisdiction of Baicheng village, with a population of more than 25000.

Cao Sanxi

In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, he was a businessman and moved to Beiji village in Taigu County during the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty. When the Qing army entered the pass, Cao Sanxi developed into the pass. He first set up his name in Taigu, and then set up his name in the commercial ports in North China and Northwest China.

Cao runtang

As a businessman, poet, the 21st generation of the Cao family in Taigu, a great family of Shanxi merchants, he was a tribute in Yiyou (1885) of Guangxu and a member of his family in Jichou (1889). In 1892, the premier of the Cao family was a housekeeper. He abandoned Confucianism and went into business. He made use of Tao and Zhu to develop business routes. He founded the "Jin" trade name in major commercial ports across the country, which pushed the financial resources of the Cao family to the peak. He was the president of Shanxi chamber of Commerce and founded Simon company.

Cao Zhuang Ren was the first magistrate of the Anti Japanese national government of Taigu County under the leadership of the Communist Party of China on December 12, 1937.
