Lvdian town

Lvdian Town, the old revolutionary base area, is located in the south of Yibin District, Luoyang City, Henan Province (the administrative region of the town belongs to Yichuan County). It is adjacent to Jiangzuo town in the East, Pengpo town in the west, Baisha Town in the South and Koudian town in the north. Shaoluo Expressway passes through the town, covering an area of 106.65 square kilometers and 67000 mu of cultivated land.

Historical evolution

In 1932, Lvdian district was set up. Wan'an township was established in 1941. In January 1948, Lvdian township (also known as Sixian township) was established. In 1958, the people's commune of Ludian was established. At the end of 1983, Ludian township was rebuilt.

In 1987, Lvdian Township governed 38 administrative villages, 82 natural villages, 1 special natural village, 1 3A level original ecological scenic spot, 323 villager groups, 8526 households and 51136 people, including 48 Hui households and 152 people.

On December 20, 2010, the township was removed to build a town.

Landscape of mountains and rivers

The basic landform of Ludian is "two mountains, five mountains and four gullies". There are many hills and mountains with distinct highlands. In spring, wheat and millet are green, and the spring breeze is like green waves. In autumn, the golden corn and red leaves are all dyed in the forest, which makes people intoxicated. The famous mountain of Luoyang, Wan'an mountain, is also located in Ludian. Wan'an mountain manor covers an area of 101 square kilometers, starting from Longmen Grottoes in the west, Dengfeng in the East, Luoyang New Area in the north and shaoluo Expressway in the south. It is 35 kilometers long from east to west and 4 kilometers wide from north to south. The project area is rich in cultural resources, including zushi temple, Wuhuang palace, Fan Zhongyan tomb, yaochong tomb, zhangshuo tomb, Pei Zunqing tomb, Weiming mausoleum, Lamadian, bingmagou and diaojiangou, which are named after Liu Xiu's army in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The natural scenery is beautiful and Yibin district is the highest peak.

Ludian is one of the earliest places in western Henan to raise the Anti Japanese banner. In March 1944, Zhang Sixian set up the Songyang Anti Japanese guerrillas here. From 1944 to 1945, it was the seat of the Anti Japanese democratic government of Yichuan Dengfeng County. In the war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation, the people of Lvdian old area, under the leadership of the party, carried out a stirring revolutionary struggle and made indelible contributions to the cause of independence and liberation of the Chinese nation. There are 27 old revolutionary villages in the town, 64 revolutionary martyrs, 1 martyrs' cemetery and 2 Village revolutionary struggle history exhibition rooms.

The town government is one kilometer away from the entrance and exit of Zhengzhou shaoluo expressway, Zhengtong Road, Pengjiang road and zuoding road run through the town, and Zhengzhou Luoyang intercity light rail station is also set here.

Ludian is rich in mineral resources, including potash feldspar, albite, bauxite, granite, marble, coal and other mineral resources. Among them, 120 million cubic meters of potash feldspar, 180 million cubic meters of albite, 500 million cubic meters of granite and marble, and 8 million tons of coal. Agricultural products are also an important resource of Lvdian. Millet is one of the important millet producing areas in the whole province with annual planting area of more than 20000 mu. Among them, "yiheqiao" brand millet obtained the national organic food certification in 2012 and sold to Zhengzhou, Shanghai and other large and medium-sized cities. It has gradually become a living card of Lvdian town and even Yichuan County. Corn, wheat, red peach and other agricultural products are also of high quality.

Economics

Due to the poor natural conditions, weak foundation and backwardness, the economic foundation of Lvdian town was very fragile. There was no industrial enterprise in the town. The town's finance was barely maintained by agricultural tax and township co-ordination. The farmers only depended on a few mu of thin land to survive. All social undertakings were difficult due to the severe shortage of funds.
