Renbu County governs the township. Kangxiong township was established in 1962, changed into a commune in 1967, and restored to a township in 1982. In 1988, Kangxiong Township, which originally belonged to Yade District, was merged with maicuo, tare and Chen villages in Wangxiang township to establish a new Kangxiong township. Located in the east of the county, north of the Yarlung Zangbo River, 60 kilometers away from the county seat. It covers an area of 148.09 square kilometers and has a population of 4221 (2017). China Nepal highway transit. It has jurisdiction over nine village committees, namely Chen, maicuo, tare, Sikang, reheating, Luo, Laimai, NaBu and Pamu. We should give priority to agriculture and develop both animal husbandry and sideline farming. Agriculture mainly produces highland barley, wheat, pea and rape.
