Qiumu Township
Qiumu township is located in the west of Nanmulin County, surrounded by Duojiao, at the junction of Nanmulin Town, Xietongmen County, Shigatse City and Kazi township. The township government is located in biduo village, 14 km away from the county. The town government has a building area of 380 square meters, a jurisdiction area of 269.81 square kilometers, and a population of 2775 (2017).
Jurisdiction
"Qiumu" in Tibetan means "terrain shrinks inward". In history, there were some names such as "qunmou" and "qumu". In 1960, qiumu township was established under the jurisdiction of Duojiao district. In 1988, when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, qiumupu and qiumuxiang of the original Duojiao district formed qiumuxiang, which was under the direct leadership of the county people's government. In 2000, the township had eight villagers' committees, namely, duodi, ZhaLin, minguoduo, banzong, Nisha, Zuoxi, eastern Tibet and minguopu.
Economics
Qiumu township is located in the west side of the Xianghe river. It has a long and inward shrinking terrain. The altitude is about 3940 meters. The land is fertile and the climate is humid and pleasant. It is suitable for the growth of winter wheat, green naked, pea, rape and other crops. Except for the two villages in eastern Tibet and minguopu, the other villages are mainly agricultural production. In 2000, the total output of grain and oil was 3159388 Jin, the total income of rural economy was 3547195 yuan, the number of livestock was 14384, and the per capita net income was 1102.02 yuan.
Educational culture
The farmland irrigation facilities in qiumu Township basically belong to the condition of artesian irrigation, with a grassland area of 500 mu and good grassland potential. In 2000, there was a complete primary school in qiumu Township, with a construction area of 1151 square meters and 380 students. The enrollment rate of school-age children in the township was 91.94 ‰. There are township health centers, solar terrestrial satellite TV receiving stations and other infrastructure.
