Shangpa town is a town under the jurisdiction of township level county, located in the middle of Fugong County. It is the residence of the county people's government. The Nujiang River runs through the whole territory from north to south. Most of the villages are located in the three-dimensional distribution of Gaoligong Mountain and Biluo snow mountain, with an altitude of less than 2000 meters. Wagong highway passes along the East Bank of Nujiang River, bordering Lanping county with Biluo snow mountain ridge in the East, bordering Myanmar union with Gaoligong Mountain Ridge in the west, jiakedi Township in the South and lumadeng Township in the north.

The topography of shangpa town mainly includes six types: Riverside platform, river alluvial fan, mountain platform, gentle slope, steep slope and mountain peak. The water system in the territory belongs to Nujiang River system. Perennial rivers such as lazhudi River, Lashi River, latudi River and mugujia river flow into Nujiang River from the top of Biluo snow mountain and Gaoligong Mountain in a "non" shape. The two largest alpine lakes, enreyibi and gandiyibi (Lisu language), are located in Dayou village committee of shangpa town. Historical evolution
"Shangpa" is a Chinese name. It was originally a fan land of debris flow alluvial sand and stone river. Foreign merchants who entered shangpa town were called "Shaba" according to their physical and geographical characteristics. Later, it was written as "shangpa" according to Lisu phonetics. In 1912, the first team of "nuqiu border colonization General Administration" entered shangpa and established an administrative organization. Shangpa began to become the political, economic and cultural center of Fugong. In 1932, Zhanghua township was set up in kanglezhi Bureau (renamed as Fugong Administrative Bureau in 1935); in 1950, a district of Fugong County was set up; in October 1958, national day first commune (commune) was set up in Jiangdong; National Day second commune (commune) was set up in Jiangxi; two communes were set up in 1960 In 1969, Wuyi commune was established (renamed shangpa commune in 1973); in 1984, shangpa district was established; in 1988, shangpa town has been established.
Climatic characteristics
Shangpa town has an average annual temperature of 16.9 ℃ and an average annual rainfall of 1480mm. The rainfall is concentrated from February to March and from June to October, with an average annual sunshine of 1479.9 hours and a frost free period of 267 days. The climate is a typical three-dimensional climate of Hengduan Mountain, which is characterized by cold, warm and sub hot climate. The riverside is hot, the hillside is mild, and the mountaintop is cold.

The economy of shangpa town is mainly rural planting industry, including breeding industry, non-staple food processing industry and various service industries. While actively developing food production, shangpa town vigorously promotes off-season vegetables, greenhouse vegetables, strawberries, watermelons, etc. along the riverside. Ginger, various fruits, walnuts, chestnuts, potato and other cash crops are planted in the mid mountain area. Goats and large-scale cattle are mainly developed in the high mountain area.
