Xiji'er Town, subordinate to Mulei Kazak Autonomous County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Mulei Kazak Autonomous County, adjacent to Dongcheng Town in the East, Shanshan County in Turpan area in the south, laoqitai town in Qitai County in the west, and queren Township in the north. In 1950, it belonged to Xining district. In 1954, it belonged to three districts. In 1957, it was xijil township. In 1958, it belonged to the red flag commune. In 1972, it belonged to xijil commune. In 1984, Xiji township was built. In 1994, the township was removed and the town was built. In October 2019, xijil town has four administrative villages.

In 2018, xijil town had 3 industrial enterprises and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
