development history

In September 1959, 63 pioneers led by Meng Qingshan transferred from olive dam farm in Yunnan Province to Mengla County and founded the earliest Mengla farm. Later, Xiangjiang people from Chairman Mao's hometown of Liling and Qidong, Hunan Province, also came here as supporting personnel and started their entrepreneurial journey. Young people from cities, rural areas, enterprises, troops and schools all over the country have gathered in Mengla farm to participate in the development and construction of rubber industry in the motherland. Since the establishment of the farm, it has experienced many times of separation and combination. In 1974, Mengla general farm was divided into Mengla, mengbang and Mengman farms; in 1981, Mengxing and Longyin farms were separated again; in 1984, Longyin farm was merged into Mengla farm by enterprise reform. Over the years, the farm has conscientiously implemented the policy of "one industry first, diversified operation, and all-round development". After 80% of the industries have been set aside to establish Mengman, Mengpeng, and Mengxing farms, and one branch has been set up to form Longyin farm, the farm has been merged to reduce the organizational structure and seek a greater development process.
