Menglun town

Menglun town is located in the northwest of Mengla County, between 101 ° 25 ′ E and 21 ° 41 ′ n, connecting Yiwu in the East, Xiangming in the north, guanlei in the South and Menghan and Jinuo Township in Jinghong in the West. Menglun, the Dai language of Xishuangbanna, means a soft place. It was a chieftain's land in ancient times. In 1913, it belonged to the Fifth District Administrative Bureau (Mengla). In 1953, it belonged to Banna Yiwu. In 1957, it was Menglun District, belonging to Yiwu county. In 1969, the United commune was established. In 1972, it was called Menglun commune. 1984, the district was changed. 1988, home town. It has jurisdiction over manbian, Chengzi, man'e, Daka, manadu and Mengxing. In 2000, the Village Reform Commission set up four administrative villages: manbian, Chengzi, Mengxing and Daka.

There are 1 River, 25 rivers, 2 reservoirs and 1 dam in the whole town. Menglun reservoir was built on February 27, 2011 and completed in May 2013. It is located in the lower reaches of huile River in the west of Menglun town. The water source originates from the east side of Lude in the north of Guizhen town. The catchment area above the dam site of the reservoir is 52.1 square kilometers and the total storage capacity is 6.0829 million cubic meters. It is a small (I) type reservoir.
