Ye TA Xian Deng: one of the eight sceneries outside Miyun. There is a Puji temple on the mountain. The pagoda is called Yexian pagoda, also called yeta Xiandeng. It is said that when the eminent monk Ji Xiaotang was practicing in the tower, red lights often shone on the top of the tower at night, so he called the Yexian tower "yeta Xiandeng", which is one of the eight scenes outside Miyun. Yexian pagoda was first built in Liao Dynasty (the eighth year of the reign of emperor Chongxi of Liao Dynasty, 1039). The tower is about 10 meters high and octagonal in plane. It has two floors, one on the upper and the other on the lower. Each floor has an arched gate, and the door opening faces south. The tower is surrounded by brick carvings and flower decorations. The base, body and top of the tower are all brick carvings and imitation wood structures. On both sides of the lower gate of the pagoda is a couplet inscribed by the Qing Dynasty: it is written by the literati of the Yunhan Dynasty, and it is the title of Tanying warrior. Yexian pagoda was destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution" period. In 1967, "breaking the four old" was bombed. All the people in Miyun sighed. More than 40 pieces of ceramics and more than 70 ancient coins (mostly song coins) were unearthed from the underground palace of the pagoda.
