On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ya'an City to adjust the administrative divisions of some townships (cfzm [2019] No. 14): Maohe township was abolished and Maohe town was established. The administrative area of Maohe town was the former Maohe Township, Liangshui village, Xuyuan village, sundao village and Hejiang Village of Lianjiang Township, and the people's Government of Maohe town was stationed at No. 15 Government Street.

Historical evolution

On December 11, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved to cancel Maohe Township and establish Maohe town. The administrative areas of Maohe town are Liangshui village, Xuyuan village, sundao village and Hejiang village of the former Maohe Township and lianjiang township. The people's Government of Maohe town is located at No. 15, government street.

Honors

On July 29, 2020, Maohe town was reconfirmed as a national health township (county) by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
