Yangcun Street

Yangcun street is located in the southeast of Wuqing District, between Jingjintang Expressway and Jingshan railway. The settlement is rectangular, north-south. It covers an area of 25 square kilometers. The North Canal and Beijing Tianjin highway run through the sub district office. The terrain is high in the middle and low in the East and west sides, generally 6 meters above sea level. It was liberated on December 19, 1948 and moved here in October 1950. The town was built in October 1982. In 2001, Yangcun town was abolished and Yangcun street was established.

It is said that the name of Li village is Yang. According to the history of the Yuan Dynasty, "Yang Village will arrive from the ocean and enter Beijing within ten days." The name of Yang village was first found here. Because Jiahe became a town, it was called "Yangcun Hexi" and "Yangcun Hedong". In October 1950, the county government moved here. Yangcun town was set up as a commune administrative area in 1958, and Yangcun town was built in October 1982. In 1996, it covers an area of 25 square kilometers and has a population of 70000. It has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages and 20 neighborhood committees in Yangcun, including 1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, 4th Street, 5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street, 8th Street, 9th Street, 10th Street, beizhengzhuang, shangxiayuan, Wangzhuang, louqian, xiaodongzhuang, shangzhuzhuang and Jiadao. It was changed to Yangcun street in December 2001.

The street governs seven communities. There are 45947 people (in 2010). The Hui people live in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth streets. The seventh street Hui people account for 90% of the total number of residents.

There is a toll station of Jingjintang Expressway 2 km north of the street, which can get on and off the expressway. It takes only 40 minutes to get to Beijing and Tianjin Xingang.

The main enterprises in the street include chemical industry, machinery, building materials, wood products, food, textile, clothing, leather making, paper making, etc. There are 46 state-owned and collective department stores and stores, 16 commercial catering service stalls, and individual stalls. The market is mainly located in the investment promotion site and the East Road of Daqiao. On the third, fifth, eighth and tenth day of every ten days in the lunar calendar, it is a traditional market day with a trade radius of more than 15 kilometers.
