Yangqu town

Yangqu town is located in Jiancaoping District of Taiyuan City, at the junction of urban and rural areas of Taiyuan city. It is the only way for Taiyuan city to go north to Xinzhou and Datong. It is connected with yaozishang village of Yangqu County in the East, Queen Garden Village in the south, xiahuaishu village in the West, and yangjiajing village of Yangqu County in the north. The town is about 10 km long from north to South and 7 km wide from east to west, with a total land area of 38.1 square kilometers, The geographical coordinates are 37 degrees 59 minutes north latitude and 112 degrees 35 minutes east longitude.

Historical evolution

Yangqu town is located in Jiancaoping District of Taiyuan City, between Taiyuan Basin and Xinding basin. Before the establishment of Taiyuan City in 1927, most of it belonged to Yangqu county.
