The area under the jurisdiction of the street was under the jurisdiction of pushe County in Xinxing Prefecture in Yuan Dynasty, Zhongwei and guangnanwei in Yunnan Province in Ming Dynasty, Zhonghe and Guangyi in Xinxing Prefecture in Qing Dynasty and Yuxi in Republic of China. In February 1949, the CPC organization sent CPC members Bai Congmin (Bai Minshun) and Fang Zhesheng to RenJing Central Primary School in Guangyi township of Yuxi to teach.
