Zhuji town is located in the northeast corner of Shizong County, 20 kilometers away from the county seat, 103 degrees 33 minutes east longitude, 25 degrees 10 minutes to 25 degrees 40 minutes north latitude.
Brief introduction of villages and towns
Zhuji township is connected with Luoping County in the northeast, Danfeng town in the South and xiongbi town in the west, with a maximum transverse distance of 17 km from east to west and a maximum longitudinal distance of 15 km from north to south. It belongs to the hilly and semi mountainous and semi dam area of warm temperate zone, with an altitude of 1684-2172.8m, an average annual temperature of 15.5 ℃ and an annual rainfall of 1000-1300 mm. It is an ideal place for corn, rice, rape, tobacco and other crops. The township has 12 village committees, 93 villager groups and 47486 people in 11376 households, including Zhuji, Jieqiao, pucaotang, Liuqiu, Qipai, Longdian, Dilu, Abai, Benzhai, Yong'an, douwu and wubai. Among them, there are 45398 agricultural population, accounting for 95.6% of the total population, and 3049 ethnic minorities, accounting for 6.4% of the total population. The population density is 208 per square kilometer.
The total area of the township is 228.18 square kilometers, with 7689.6 hectares of arable land, including 1531.3 hectares of water area, accounting for 19.9% of arable land; 6158.3 hectares of dry land, accounting for 80.1% of arable land; 0.162 hectares of arable land per capita; 6011.3 hectares of forest land; 15.6 hectares of economic forest and fruit; 376.6 hectares of water area; 3356.9 hectares of grassland.
The former residence of Dou long, a famous scholar in Qing Dynasty, is listed as the key cultural relic protection object by Yunnan Province, city and county. It is one of the few typical Qing Dynasty buildings in Yunnan Province, with a long history and profound cultural charm.

Cultural celebrities
Dou Sheng (1742-1808), named shuzhai and Yunfu, was originally from Shuji village, Luoping County. Qianlong Guiyou selected Gongsheng, who won the first place in the provincial examination of pecaceae (1768), and was appointed as the county magistrate of Gongtong County, Shanxi Province. He has been a teacher for two years, advocating the construction of academies and encouraging students to study hard. At the age of 17, he wrote a brief account of the Buddha and the four annals of the Tian family. In his later years, he wrote Yong Cao and many kinds of Arts poems and Fu. His works do not follow the old teachings and do not depend on medics. It has the spirit of fighting against the feudal ethics culture.
Dou long (1804-1865) Zi Di, named Lanquan, was born in Shuji village of Shizong County. In the ninth year of Daoguang (1829), he was a Jinshi in the examination in Beijing. He was the head of the Ministry of official affairs. He was a member of the textual selection department, wailang. Later, he was the supervisor of Jiangxi Taoism. In his childhood, under his father's strict education, he studied hard and achieved excellent academic results. He had a high literary attainments. Mr. Yuan Jiagu commented: "Lanquan is good at poetry and calligraphy, and has many excellent works." Its outstanding achievements should be promoted by Yueyang Tower long couplet.
Chen Hongtu, formerly known as Shilin (1913-1981), was born in douwu village, Zhuji township. He studied in Shizong primary school in 1926, then entered provincial No.1 middle school, transferred to provincial Qujing No.3 normal school, and graduated from provincial Kunhua normal school in 1936. Under the influence of the thought of revolutionary progress, he actively participated in the Kunming students' response to the "12.9" student movement in Peking.
