ChiJiu township is located in the northeast of Fumin County. It covers an area of 167 square kilometers and has a population of 9893 (2017). There are 10 administrative villages, 54 natural villages and 65 villager groups in Yongfu, Chijiu, Longtan, Yuping, Donghe, zuimili, Pingdi, puheine, puqiao and anazai. Township government in Zhengyi village, 20 kilometers away from the county. At an altitude of 1660-2673m, Beiying Qingping highway passes through.

In 1913, it belonged to the Northern District, which was divided into 8 a. In 1933, Fengsheng township was set up. Later, Dongshan Township was set up because of banditry. Dongshan Township was abolished in the 24th year of the Republic of China. In August 1949, Fengsheng Township Liberation Committee was established under the jurisdiction of Xundian Luquan border region people's government. In 1950, it belonged to the North District of Fumin County. In 1951, it belonged to three districts. In 1953, it belonged to the first district. Yongfu township was established in 1956. Yongjin commune was established in 1958, and it was merged with Fumin commune in October. It was still under Yongjin commune in March of the next year. Chijiu commune was set up in 1962 and changed to district in 1984. It was changed to Chijiu Township in 1988. It is adjacent to YILIUHE Sandan Town, an enclave of Xishan District in the East, Daying Town in the south, Luomian Township and Luquan County in the west, and Kuanzhuang town in the north. By the end of 1992, it had a total area of 167 square kilometers, a total of 2246 households and 9611 people. It had jurisdiction over 10 offices, 64 natural villages, 70 cooperatives, and the township government was stationed in Zhengyi village. In 1997, the area was 167 square kilometers with a population of 10000. In 2017, the area was 167 square kilometers with a population of 9893.
