Ciba Street

Ciba sub district office is located in the north suburb of Kunming, northwest of Panlong District, covering an area of 38.65 square kilometers. It is connected with Longquan sub district office in the East, Songhua Township in the north, Hongyun sub district office in Wuhua District in the South and Shalang Township in Wuhua District in the West.

Originally in Guandu District, Ciba street was set up in 1984 and changed to town in 1988. In 1997, with an area of 36 square kilometers and a population of 39000, it has jurisdiction over two administrative villages, namely huayugou and Heping. In 2003, Ciba street was set up. In 2004, Guandu District was transferred to Panlong District. The new Ciba street was composed of Heping community and huayugou community of the former Ciba street. Except Heping community which was approved by the State Council, the boundaries of the former Ciba street were maintained and the office was stationed in the former Ciba street. In 2006, it has jurisdiction over six communities: huayugou, Heping, lanlongtan, heavy industry, Heilongtan and Kunji.
