Binhai town

Binhai Town, belonging to Zhanhua District, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the northeast of Zhanhua County, adjacent to Xinhu Town, Hekou District, Dongying City in the East, Xiahe Township in the southeast, Fuyuan street in the south, Fengjia town in the West and Bohai Sea in the north. The area is 589.74 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Binhai town was 9191.

In October 1958, it belonged to the Taiping commune of Zhanhua County. Since November 1958, it belongs to Tuhai River Farm and hegui commune. In June 1984, hegui township was built. In March 2001, tuhaihe farm and hegui Township were abolished and Binhai township was established under their jurisdiction. In June 2010, the township was transformed into a town. By June 2020, Binhai town has 5 communities and 15 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the territory belongs to the seventh district of Zhanhua County.

In October 1958, it belonged to the Taiping commune of Zhanhua County.

Since November 1958, it belongs to Tuhai River Farm and hegui commune.

In June 1984, hegui township was built.

In March 2001, tuhaihe farm and hegui Township were abolished and Binhai township was established under their jurisdiction.
