Caoyutan town

Caoyutan town is located in the southwest edge of Hongya County, Sichuan Province, at the foot of Yuping mountain and the upstream of Qingyi River, 28 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Zhongbao town and Dongyue town in the East, Dongyue town in the south, Yanqiao town in Ya'an City in the West and Hanwang Township in the north. Ziya road runs through the whole area, and is the center of Leshan Emei Wawu mountain Bifengxia tourism ring line. Caoyutan town was formed in 2005 by merging the former caoyutan town with the former Luoba town. The town government is located in the ancient and long-standing Luoba town.

It was approved as a provincial scenic spot by Sichuan Provincial People's Government in December 1995.
