Historical evolution
Jiabang township is a newly-built township. Before 1992, Jiabang village was an administrative village of Yaogui Township in Zaiban district. In 1992, when Guizhou province implemented the policy of withdrawing and merging, Yaogui Township in Zaiban district (including 7 villages of Jiabang, Xiayao, Yaogui, pingmang, Dazhou, Pingyin and Wuyang) and Jiache Township (including kaiche, Jiache, JIAYE, Dangzhuo, Baibie, baidang, Pingmei, etc.) were merged Xiaoping, Daping and Wuye (10 villages in total) were merged into Jiabang township. Jiabang township government is located in Jiabang village, which governs 17 administrative villages, 94 villager groups and 68 natural villages.
