Wanshui Town, belonging to Kaili City, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is located in the north of Kaili City, adjacent to Banghai town in the East, Wanxi street and Ximahe street in the south, Longchang town in the west, Wengping township of Huangping County in the north, with an administrative area of 76.74 square kilometers.

In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to the Xuanwei Department of Bozhou; in January 1992, Wanshui and mishao were merged into Wanshui town. By the end of 2018, the population of Wan Shui town registered residence was 28388. As of June 2020, Wanshui town has jurisdiction over one community and 12 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Wanshui village.

History of construction

In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Xuanwei Department of Bozhou.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Qingping county.

In 1913, it was the third district of Lushan County.

In 1932, it was established in Wanshui Town, yantun Township, Changxi Township, Pingdong Township, leliang Township and Gezhong Township, the Sixth District of Lushan County.

In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), the joint protection of water and bay was established.

In 1941, the joint protection of bay water was changed into the bay water town.

In 1953, Wanshui township was divided into five townships: Wanshui, Qujiang, Yanzhai, Liren and Luobang.

In 1956, it was merged into Wanshui Township and Luobang township.

In 1958, Xinjiang commune was established.

In 1961, Wanshui and Liren communes were established.

In 1966, Wanshui commune and mizhao commune were established.

In 1984, it was changed to Wanshui and mizhao.
