Historical evolution

The origin of place names

The place name of wantun originated from the establishment of military reclamation in Ming Dynasty. There are two folk sayings: one is that during the period of Ming Dynasty's northern expedition to the south, Zhu Yuanzhang implemented the Tunpu system in Guizhou, and the Ming emperor built Tunpu along the way from Anshun to Huangcaoba.
