Siqu town

Siqu town is located in the middle and upper reaches of Wujiang River in the northwest of Yanhe County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province. It is 29 km by water and 55 km by land. It is adjacent to Houping Township, Qingquan Township and Heishui Township in Youyang County of Chongqing City in the East, Guanzhou Township and quanba Township in the south, Zhongzhai Township and Huangtu Township in the West and Xinjing Township in the north. With a total area of 181.4 square kilometers, ethnic minorities account for 98.6% of the total population. There are 28 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 196 villager groups in the town, with a total population of 8333 households and 30810 people, including 27442 agricultural population and 3368 resident population. The territory belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate. Tourism resources and characteristic agriculture are abundant. The town adheres to the main theme and main strategy, goes all out to fight against poverty, and takes the construction of "green, beautiful and happy" as the goal to ensure that it will enter a well-off society with the whole country before 2020.

Administrative district and population

The town has four offices, including Siqu, YinChi, Yangnan and Maodu, 28 administrative villages, one neighborhood committee and 196 villager groups. The government is located in Siqu village, 300 meters above sea level. In 2016, with a total population of 30810, it is a place inhabited by ethnic minorities, accounting for 98.6%. With a total area of 181.4 square kilometers, ethnic minorities account for 98.6% of the total population.

Topography

There are many rivers and streams in the territory, mainly including Wujiang River and its tributaries zhanggongzigou, dark river, ma'er River, zhichanggou and other rivers. Hujiagai and niuxiangbao mountains are continuous, with heavy mountains and steep mountains. The valleys are deeply cut and crisscross. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, with the highest altitude of 1422 meters and the lowest altitude of 265 meters, forming a typical Wujiang River Valley landform. The karst area is 129.01 square kilometers. The non karst area is 55.01 square kilometers.

The territory belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate. The climate changes with the change of terrain. The annual average temperature is 13.4-17.8 ℃, the daily average temperature in January is 2.4-6.3 ℃, the extreme minimum temperature is - 9.7-5.4 ℃, the daily average temperature in July is 23.7-28 ℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 36.6-41.6 ℃, and the frost free period is 240-302 days. The annual sunshine hours are 1200 hours, and the annual rainfall is 1150 mm. The three-dimensional climate is obvious, the crops are two or three crops a year.

land resource

The total land area is 276031 mu. There are 93471 mu of cultivated land, including 11378 mu of farmland and 82093 mu of soil; 128208 mu of forest land, including 81660 mu of forest land; 34706 mu of grassland; and 4465 mu of water area. The soil is mainly yellow soil. There are coal, fluorite, barite, mercury mine, copper mine, pyrite and other mineral deposits to be developed.

There are Lizhi gorge, Yintong gorge, tutuo gorge and other Gorge Scenic Spots in Wujiang gorge, integrating tourism resources such as mountains, caves and nature reserves. Zhu Jiadong. It can reach 4.5km along the dark river, surrounded by cliffs and natural bridges. One path is accessible, and the situation is dangerous. The cave is long and wide, zigzagging into the sky. There are 18 caves with different light and shade, one gate and one scene, all kinds of forms, and natural beauty. Among them, the sound of water roars like ten thousand horses galloping, which is amazing. It is famous for its unique scenery and water caves. Yintong gorge. The section from dark stream to Maodu gorge is 8.35 km long and covers an area of 4.48 km. There are silver boy and Carp Ponds in the gorge. The breeze is blowing and the waves are sparkling. The middle reaches of fish and shrimp ponds and the wild ducks are flying on the banks of the ponds. It's refreshing. Up to Lizhi gorge, down to tutuo gorge. Wuzhou ancient city site: located in Heyeping, it is the Wuzhou administrative center of Tang Dynasty. The city is divided into East and West gates, and the site still exists. Black leaf monkey nature reserve: from the he protection station of the reserve up to the Mayang River along the dark river, there are more than 700 black leaf monkeys inhabiting 58 groups of national first-class protected animals. The reserve is rich in species, including more than 800 vascular plants and vertebrates, and 37 rare wild animals and plants under state key protection. The natural scenery of the reserve is gorgeous, mainly including LAOYINGYAN, yantouguan, longfeixia, Mayang river rafting, longqingtang, Daheba hot spring and other scenic spots, which has high scientific investigation and tourism development value. The construction of Siqu tourism market town, bawanggu scenic area, lizhixia scenic area and other projects has been advanced at a high speed, and will be fully completed by October 2017. The route planning of Guanshi secondary road has been started, and will be fully completed by October 2017.

Transportation, communication and power

Within the territory, there are Wujiang River shipping, Siqu Guanzhou highway and 326 national highway, Siqu to Huangtu, Siqu to Zhongzhai, Siqu to Yangnan and other county and township highways. Within the territory, there are more than 200 kilometers of Liqi highway, covering all villages, and 11 villages are navigable. The rural power grid covers 28 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, and the mobile communication network is fully covered. It is expected that the cable TV will be connected to every village by 2017.

Agriculture and rural economy

The water conservancy facilities of the family field are poor, and the planting industry is mainly drought. The main agricultural products are corn, rice, soybean, potato, flue-cured tobacco, rape, peanut, tea, tung oil tree, Chinese tallow, gallnut, pig, cow, sheep, bamboo rat, bamboo chicken, rabbit, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Scrophularia, soft pomegranate, pipa, plum, etc. The total output value of agriculture is 28.6 million yuan, including 17 million yuan for agriculture, 1.36 million yuan for forestry, 9.94 million yuan for animal husbandry and 300000 yuan for fishery. The total grain output is 6372 tons. The total income of rural economy is 34.62 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers is 6534 yuan, and the per capita grain is 303 kg.

Township Enterprises

There are 576 township enterprises with 1169 employees, mainly engaged in industry, construction, transportation, commerce and catering services, with a total output value of 12.6 million yuan and a total income of 12.6 million yuan. The backbone enterprises include sweet potato powder processing plant, Yintong Xiayu White Tea Co., Ltd. and Siqu gas station. Industrial products mainly include brick, fluorite, straw paper, lead-zinc mine, beverage wine, sweet potato powder, bamboo shoots, bean products, etc., with a total industrial output value of 3.83 million yuan in 2016.

Honors

On July 29, 2020, it was named as the National Health township (county) of 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
