Huangsigang Town, located in the east of Huangchuan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, is 19 kilometers away from Huangchuan County and 15 kilometers away from Huangchuan railway station. There is G312 national road crossing the East and West, connecting with G106 National Road, Beijing Kowloon Railway and Ningxi railway, and Shanghai Urumqi communication optical cable crossing the whole town. Superior transportation and communication provide the foundation and guarantee for the development of regional economy.

The town has 13 administrative villages, including huangsigang village, Shizhai village, madatang village, bailuhe village, Xiaokan village, Changyan village, Youfang village, Guandu village, Baizhu village, Xinjian village, Gaodian village, dengzhai village and Qiaoqiao village. There are 210 turtle farmers in the town, covering an area of 2200 mu, with an output value of more than 50 million yuan. The rapid development of ecological turtle breeding industry has further established the position of the largest turtle breeding and sales base in Xinyang. Historical evolution

Guandu township was set up in 1955, merged into Taolin commune in 1958, established huangsigang commune in 1959, and changed to township in 1983. In 1997, with an area of 180 square kilometers and a population of 36000, it has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, including Baishu, Guandu, Changyan, bailuhe, Xiaokan, madatang, Shizhai, huangshigang, Youfang, Qiaoqiao, Gaodian, dengzhai and Xinjian.
