Shigu Gelao and Dong nationality is a township under the jurisdiction of Shiqian County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province. It is located in Shiqian County at the West foot of Fanjing. It is about 38km in the east of the county, adjacent to Minxiao town of Jiangkou County in the East, Qingyang Town of Shiqian County in the South, Huaqiao town of Shiqian County in the west, pingdichang town of Shiqian County and Yangxi town of Yinjiang County in the north. It is the east gate of Shiqian County.

On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name shigu Gelao and Dong township as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

In 2003, the Party committee and the government of Shigu Township led the cadres and the masses of Shigu township to work hard and blaze new trails, so that shigu could "change its old appearance into a new one". The township government is committed to strengthening the basic position of agricultural production and vigorously promoting excellent hybrid rice, hybrid corn and hybrid rape varieties, so as to improve the scientific and technological content of agricultural production. At the end of the year, the total agricultural output value was 27.05 million yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 15% in total grain output. The per capita share of grain by farmers was 420 kg.

In 2003, in order to improve the quality of tobacco leaves, the technical management of seedling transplanting, field management, picking and curing of flue-cured tobacco was strengthened. The planting area of flue-cured tobacco is 6000 mu, the yield is 460000 kg, the output value is 3.55 million yuan, and the profit tax is 710000 yuan.

The animal husbandry of the whole township has also increased to varying degrees. Three "three yuan crossbred piglet bases" were established, two "grass planting and livestock raising" bases were established, and four breeding pig improvement points were established. There were 7720 live pigs (160 sows), 3450 cattle (2030 cows), 2500 goats (1800 ewes), 7000 chickens and 1200 ducks.
