Yina town

Yina town is located in the northwest of Weining County, Guizhou Province, 74 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 205.36 square kilometers and has a total population of 41012, inhabiting eight ethnic groups, including Han, Yi, Hui and Miao.

Name and origin

"Yina" is a place name of Yi nationality, which means "deep water underground."

Evolution of administrative districts

In 1953, it set up Longjing Township and Yina township.

In 1958, the administrative area was changed.

In 1961, Mawo township was merged into Yina commune.

In 1963, Mawo township was separated.

In July 1984, Yina commune was transformed into a township.

In January 1985, the town was changed into a cowshed area.

In 1992, xianma and Mawo townships were merged into Yina town.

Yina town is located in the northwest of Weining Yi Hui Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou Province, 74 km away from the county, 248 km away from Bijie City, 145 km away from Liupanshui City (Zhongshan District), 48 km away from Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, and 254 km away from Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It borders Longjie Town, Xueshan town and guanfenghai town in the East, Dougu town in the south, Niupeng town in the west, heituhe town and Zhongshui town in the north. Provincial highway 102 passes through the border. It is the main traffic route leading to Shimen Township, heituhe Town, Zhongshui Town, Niupeng Town, Yulong Town, Dougu town and guanfenghai Town, and Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province. It covers an area of 205.36 square kilometers.

By the end of 2011, it had 14 villagers' committees including Zhongxin, Wuxing, Hexin, Ciying, cherry, Zhonghai, Xiangmin, Qingshan, Shuitang, Xintian, Wenchang, Dashan, Shuangying and Lianhua, and 95 villagers' groups.

At the end of 2011, the total population of the district was 39639, including 795 urban permanent residents, with an urbanization rate of 2%. There are 4404 floating population. In the total population, there are 20860 males, accounting for 52.6%; 18779 females, accounting for 47.4%; 14683 persons under 18 years old, accounting for 37.04%; 21993 persons between 18 and 60 years old, accounting for 55.48%; 2963 persons over 60 years old, accounting for 7.48%. In the total population, 27565 people (69.54%) are Han nationality, and 12074 people (30.46%) are Hui, Yi, Miao, Buyi and other ethnic minorities.

The landform of Yina town is rugged and broken with various types. The average altitude is 2140 meters, the highest altitude (Mawo mountain) is 2783 meters, the lowest altitude (chuduyan) is 1700 meters, the altitude difference between high mountain and low valley is 1083 meters, and the temperature difference is 3-5 ℃. The climate is subtropical humid monsoon climate, with annual average temperature of 14 ℃, annual rainfall of 850mm and annual sunshine duration of 1960 hours. It is cold in winter, cool in summer, small annual temperature difference, large daily temperature difference, hot and rainy in the same season, dry and wet climate characteristics.

The cultivated land area of the town is 117200 mu, accounting for 37.87% of the total land area. Among the cultivated land, dam land is 42700 mu, accounting for 36.43% of the total cultivated land (mainly distributed in Hexin, Zhongxin, Zhonghai, Ciying, Xiangmin and cherry), mountain land is 41000 mu, accounting for 34.98% of the total cultivated land (mainly distributed in Dashan, Shuangying, Wuxing and Lianhua), hill land is 33500 mu, accounting for 28.58% of the total cultivated land (mainly distributed in Qingshan, Xintian, Shuitang and Wenchang), and forest land is 114700 mu, accounting for 20% 37.6% of the total land area; 30500 mu of barren hills and grass slopes, accounting for 9.85% of the total land area; 47100 mu of other land (mainly village and town construction, roads, rivers, ponds, etc.), accounting for 15.22% of the total land area.

water resource

The whole town is short of water resources. The annual rainfall is 850 mm, 110 mm, 271.5 mm and 456.1 mm lower than that of the whole county, the whole region and the whole province. There are only four small rivers, Hexin, Xintian, Zhonghai and Wenchang.

mineral resources

The main mineral resources in the territory are coal, iron, zinc, calcium sulfate dihydrate (gypsum) and so on, and coal mines (mainly distributed in Xintian, Wenchang, Qingshan, Lianhua, Wuxing, Hexin, Zhongxin, Ciying, Xiangmin, cherry and other villages) are the main ones. However, the sulfur content is high, the grade is low, and there is no large-scale commercial development value.

Travel

Muying stone group is located in muying formation at the foot of Mawo mountain. Provincial highway 102 is like a golden ribbon tied on the hillside, and rows of stone stand on both sides of the highway. Today, muying stone has entered Kunming, Chengdu, Guiyang, Dali and other urban parks, and become an original ecological landscape for people to watch. Every farmer here is a stone Museum. There are a variety of stones with different shapes inside and outside the house, especially the strange stones dotted on both sides of the road. It is a beautiful landscape.
