History of construction

In 1928, it belonged to Tuping district (five districts), which was divided into two townships: Tuping and Lejian.

In July 1992, Tuping, Xinle, Xinhong, Shizhi, Anjia, Linxi, Lianhe and Niudu communes in yuantuping district were merged into Tuping town.

Tuping town got its name because its people's government was located in Tuping town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Tuping town has a long history and is one of the four ancient city sites in Zhen'an Prefecture. There are many historic sites in the town, including the site of the commanding field of the famous general Zheng changsun Wu Lue and the site of nanshanzhai. There is a stone arch bridge, Gongguan bridge, and a bronze horse riding figurine of the Ming Dynasty unearthed in Xinle village.

Longtang temple is located in Linxi village, Tuping Town, Zheng'an county. It was built in 1716, the 55th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty. Longtang temple is a famous ancient temple in Anzhou. It is surrounded by ancient trees. Several big trees have been listed for protection. They are more than 100 years old. Longtang temple is a two-way quadrangle. The main building is divided into three halls: upper, middle and lower. In front of the temple, there is a wooden structure with a Chuihua Mountain Gate, which connects with the surrounding walls. In addition, there are brick chongtian square and Shidi palace pagoda. On the right side of the temple, there is a monk's tomb, also known as a floating picture.
