Gumi township is located in the north east of Leibo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, on yiziba on the Bank of Jinsha River.

On June 12, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's government decided to abolish Gumi township.

General situation

The highest altitude in the territory is 2127 meters in Liangzi, jiujiaowan, and the lowest is 340 meters in guanmenshi wharf, Xiaba village.
