Taiping Township

Taipingchang is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Xinglong Town, Zhongjiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the south of Zhongjiang County, 30 kilometers away from the county seat and 6.5 kilometers away from luogui Road, with convenient transportation and close to Xinglong, Shuanglong, Qinghe and stalagmites in the county. It is connected with Jinlong and Fuxing in Jintang County.

Taiping Township covers an area of 34.52 square kilometers, with 12 administrative villages, 171 agricultural cooperatives and a total population of 14636 (2017).

On December 11, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Deyang City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in five counties (cities, districts) including Jingyang district (cfzm [2019] No. 15): Taiping Township was abolished and its administrative region was put under the jurisdiction of Xinglong Town, and Xinglong Town People's government was stationed at No. 2, Section 2, Jinhui road.

There are more than 17200 mu of arable land, including 7493 mu of farmland, 15924 tons of grain, 952 tons of oil, 31900 pigs. The total number of labor services exported is 8326, the labor income is 40.13 million yuan, and the per capita income of farmers is 3433 yuan. Taiping Township is known as the hometown of fruits. The orchard covers an area of 1688 mu, with warm climate, sufficient sunshine, moderate rainfall, long frost free period, average temperature of 19 ℃, altitude of 420-450 m, and relative elevation difference of 30 m. There are 2 shale brick factories and 3 prefabricated component factories in the territory, with total output value of 105.88 million yuan and industrial added value of 17.8 million yuan. In 2008, Wen's group invested 26 million yuan to build a large-scale breeding base.

Taiping Township has complete educational facilities, including one middle school, one primary school and more than 2100 kindergarten students.

Taiping Township, Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province, closely around the grand goal of building a new countryside, steadily promoted infrastructure construction, ensured the increase of farmers' production and income, and realized the harmonious and stable development of the whole township. In 2006, the township invested 60000 yuan to maintain 7 km of outbound traffic arteries, prepared to invest 800000 yuan to build two cement roads to the village, invested 2 million yuan to build 160 biogas wells, and invested 80000 yuan to build 0.6 km of "three side light" canals.
